Prison Ministry

CRC London has a vision to reach those who are destitute, those who are needy and in prisons and this small token of God’s love we believe is a small seed that is going to bring about great harvest. As we are faithful with the little, God will entrust us with much! We are believing to bring the gospel of Jesus Christ into every prison and see multitudes saved!

Don't ever think that your contribution doesn’t make a difference - it is literally changing lives!

It's amazing to see how God has continued to open doors because of our obedience we have year upon year.

History of the Bag of Love campaign

In 2017 the Lord opened up supernatural doors for us into prisons in the UK. While visiting someone in prison we were connected to prison chaplains in London and in Cambridge.

After meeting with these chaplains, we recognised that there was a real need to share the message of Jesus with people in prison.

It was round about this time that – CRC London started to provide Bags of Love to families in need. We checked in with our prison connections to see if they would be interested to receiving these bags into prisons and they were overjoyed.

We supplied these bags as a Christmas gift with items like toiletries, chocolate, a fresh towel etc. and most importantly a Christian resource that they could read - trusting it would touch their hearts, and they would start to seek God for themselves.

It was a small start with only 450 bags in one prison 6 years ago, and year upon year, it has grown. From 450 to 900 to 1200 to 1800, 3000 to 4500 last year. This year we will be blessing 8500 prisoners!

We have also grown from 8 prisons to 12 prisons.

If you have family members in prison and would like for us to visit anyone that are in need of support, please reach out to us on prisonministry@crclondon.com

Matthew 25:36-40

36 I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’

37 “Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? 38 When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? 39 Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ 40 And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’

VISION

To bring the message of Jesus Christ into every prison in the UK and in Europe. To demonstrate the LOVE of God through our service and our contribution towards people in prison.
